Remember your first watch? Well, I do and what was magic about it was the fact that it was waterproof, which meant playing with in the rain, while washing hands and so on. Modern gadget have an ‘allergy’ with water, so washing them will almost for sure render them unusable. Normally with a phone or laptop it’s ok, but when it comes to watch phones, a gadget that you’ll forget you’re wearing is important to have waterproof capabilities.
CECT is one of the manufacturers that agrees with me because it launched the W08 waterproof watch phone with Bluetooth and a sleek sporty design featuring a red casing and a black wrist band (there’s also a black and gold version available). Specs wise, besides the waterproof design, things are pretty common: 1.5 inch display with touchscreen and stylus placed in the wristband (128 x 160 pixels resolution), 1.3 megapixel camera with 4x digital zoom and quad band design which makes it usable pretty much everywhere, but forget about 3G. The CECT W08 comes with a 1 GB transflash card which is enough to store some photos and movies, as it is compatible with MP4 videos.

As size, the CECT W08 is pretty big (but weights only 50 grams), and some of that has something to do with the waterproof design, but you won’t regret buying it as it can save you a lot of troubles. It can also to some work thanks to a bunch of apps installed from factory: MP3, MP4 player,SMS group sending, Voice recorder, Handwritten input, GPRS download, MMS, E-book, IP dialing, calendar, health manager, calculator, unit converter, rate exchange, memo, world clock and notes app.

Black and gold, always a good combination
A stereo Bluetooth headset is also available from factory to help you actually hear what the other person is saying without having to raise your arm to your ear. The internal battery is good for about 100-180 minutes talk time and 140-200 hours Standby time.
You can get the CECT W08 from Amazon for just 175$.
