23 Feb Gauntlet Watchphone: even watch cellphones can be beautiful

Loading ...Watchphones are usually not beautiful, nor functional. That’s something some can’t pass by, but the Gauntlet watch phone tries at least to solve the design issue most watch phones have and it pretty much accomplishes by using a nice clean metalic casing and wrist strap.
The interface of the watch phone is very interesting, as it uses more icons on multiple lines on its home screen, just like the iPhone (minus the smaller, much smaller screen, of course). From the picture I can deduct that the watch phone will feature applications like a music player, email reader, contact book, synchronization software. It seems that the Gauntlet doesn’t has a built-in speaker, so you’ll have to use a bluetooth headset, paired to it. I don’t know how much it costs, but I hope it won’t be expensive, like the LG GD910.

Update: Gauntlet watch phone is available for sale on Amazon’s website for 260$. You’ll have to wait around 14 days till it ships from the moment you’ve placed the order, but that’s a small inconvenient if you ask me.
Now that Gauntlet watch phone is available for sale we have more info about its specs which include MP3/MP4 player, Quad Band GSM compatibility, 1.3 inch color touchscreen (just like pretty much any other watch phone), SD card slot for memory expansion and solid metal case that makes the Gauntlet weight 160 grams (a little too much but manageable after all). Oh, and it ships with a Bluetooth wireless headset.
