It’s not the first time and certainly not the last when we talk about the LG GD910 watch phone, a model that made history by being the first serious watch phone. It’s not the best, nor the cheapest, but it’s surely the first to get much media attention, so much that other manufacturers are tackling the idea of watch cellphones.
Engadget managed to thorough test the LG GD910 and came with a full review, which can be read here. The conclusion is pretty much straightforward: if money is no object buy it, if not, there are cheaper worthy alternatives. Before getting to the video let’s see what are the main conclusions Engadget wrote:
- too big for a watch, too small for a phone (obvious conclusion)
- touchscreen is not so responsive, given the resistive manufacturing technology
- construction is solid thanks to faux leather strap and water resistant casing
- mediocre speakerphone
- good user interface, with minor glitches
- few customization options
- few multimedia options, as expansion card slot is missing (you have to rely on the included 80 MB of memory)
