I love when manufacturers call their products names like ‘desire’, ‘dream’ and other names that inspire buyers to take money from their wallets and spend them without regards to need, by just flowing with the current. At least that’s what manufacturers hope. One such product is the Phenom Dream watch phone, which, when you look at it, isn’t anything like a dream, but a mere old Japanese digital watch with calculator.
Appearances can be deceiving, of course, as the Phenom Dream is more than just a watch phone. It really has some interesting to put to the table: dual-SIM compatibility, but there’s something that might put you off, and that’s the 395$ price tag, and that’s with a 100$ limited offer discount.

Phenom Dream seen from front
But let’s not dismiss the Phenom Dream just because it doesn’t look exciting and take a look at the specs:
- Quad band GSM 850/900/1800/1900 (but sadly no 3G)
- Dual active standby SIM card slots
- External keypad
- LCD screen: 1.3 inch TFT260k pixels
- Touch screen
- Built-in Bluetooth
- Vibrate mode
- Languages for interface: English, Espanol, Italiano, Portuguese, Arabic, French
- FM Radio
- Ring tone: 64 polyphonic, supported formats: mp3, midi, wav
- Music format: mp3
- Movie format: mp4, full screen
- Digital camera: 1.3mp
- Up to 2gb external storage via a microSD card slot
- Picture viewer for jpg and gif files

There's barely enough room for two SIMs
That’s a long list of features for a watch phone, but they’re not worth 400$, not even close. For those kind of money you could get a decent phone and watch combo and both will look better than the Phenom Dream.
Now here’s video made by Phenom presenting their latest addition:
